Relief Night Cleaner

About the role

The Relief Night Cleaner supports the Front Office and Guest Services teams during overnight hours, ensuring the hotel’s public areas, guest rooms and ancillary services meet Sofitel’s luxury standards. This role combines cleaning, guest assistance, and basic food‑and‑beverage duties to deliver a seamless night experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain public areas on the 2nd floor, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with brand standards and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Assist with car and hotel door operations, guest luggage handling, and safe parking of guest vehicles.
• Prepare and deliver in‑room dining orders, keep the kitchen tidy after service, and provide barista coffee for guests.
• Support the Night Manager with arrivals, departures, luggage arrangements, transportation, and guest confidentiality.
• Handle guest property storage, document items, and ensure secure handling.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to address urgent requests and keep corridors free of obstacles.
• Perform programmed cleaning duties, manage roll‑away beds and cots, and ensure economical use of chemicals and linen.
• Serve alcohol during designated shifts and uphold the hotel’s refined service standards.

Required profile

• Understanding of correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with manufacturer instructions.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to hotel environments.
• Commitment to maintaining guest safety, security and confidentiality during night operations.
