Registered Nurse – West Coast District Hospital

About the role

The Department of Health is seeking qualified Registered Nurses to join the West Coast District Hospital team. You will deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care across sub‑acute, palliative, emergency and aged‑care settings, working closely with patients, families and multidisciplinary health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinically appropriate nursing care to patients in sub‑acute, palliative, emergency and aged‑care units.
• Collaborate with visiting services such as radiology, physiotherapy, podiatry and diabetic clinics.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in shift work, covering up to 76 hours per fortnight as required.
• Support health outcomes through patient education and advocacy.

Required profile

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
• Current registration to work with vulnerable people.
• Ability to meet the essential criteria outlined in the Statement of Duties.
• Willingness to work shift patterns and negotiate hours with the successful applicant.

Required skills

• Clinical nursing care across acute, sub‑acute and palliative settings.
• Emergency first‑response nursing.
• Aged‑care nursing competencies.

• Salary range $80,524 – $109,175 per annum (pro‑rated) plus 12% superannuation.
