Receptionist – Fixed-Term (5 Weeks)

About the role

Lumino Burton & Brown, part of New Zealand’s largest dental network, is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist for a five‑week fixed‑term contract. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience in a busy dental practice.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional manner.
• Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area.
• Answer and direct phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software.
• Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation.
• Process patient check‑ins and check‑outs, including payments where required.
• Provide administrative support to the clinical team.
• Handle patient enquiries with empathy and professionalism.
• Perform accurate data entry and general administrative duties.
• Support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice.

Required profile

• Previous reception or administration experience preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare or dental environment is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
