Project Manager – Applications (Hybrid, Wellington)

About the role

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead application‑focused initiatives for a government agency in Wellington. The role is hybrid, requiring two days on‑site each week, and combines Agile, Scrum, and traditional project management practices.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end delivery of IT projects from planning through implementation and transition.
• Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality targets.
• Define scope, requirements, and deliverables with stakeholders and maintain accurate, audit‑ready documentation.
• Track progress, manage risks and issues, and oversee change control processes.
• Assist with budget monitoring, resource allocation, and vendor coordination.
• Prepare concise project reports for governance forums and senior leadership.
• Contribute ideas to continuously improve project delivery across the organisation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional comfortable working in a regulated government environment.
• Proven ability to operate with energy, curiosity, and a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Experience delivering projects using both Scrum and traditional PMP methodologies.
