Production Technician

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Production Technician to join our Christchurch facility. You will be part of a collaborative team that delivers high‑quality precast concrete products, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and assemble formwork and moulds according to drawing specifications.
• Place reinforcement cages and pour concrete to required standards.
• Strip, ramp and mark finished products to meet production specifications.
• Maintain accurate quality‑control documentation and support QC checks.
• Apply 5S principles to keep the work area clean and organised.
• Participate in pre‑start meetings, toolbox talks and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in concrete, precast, carpentry, steel fixing or automated production.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings.
• Solid understanding of quality standards and safe work practices.
• Class 1 driver licence with forklift (F) endorsement or willingness to obtain one.
• Gantry crane ticket (3800) is an advantage.
• Team‑first attitude – reliable, flexible and respectful.
