Process Engineer - Continuous Improvement

About the role

Based in the stunning Otago region, this position offers a 9‑day fortnight roster and the chance to live and work in a world‑class mining environment. The role leads technical analysis and facilitates Continuous Improvement initiatives across the site value chain, with primary expertise in metallurgy and ore processing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop plant and metallurgical improvement initiatives together with line management teams.
• Assist line teams in creating CI projects and detailed business cases.
• Prioritise initiatives based on net‑cash‑flow impact at points of constraint, using sensitivity analysis of the Value Driver Tree.
• Ensure the improvement pipeline is reflected in budget and Life‑of‑Mine‑Plan (LOMP) scenarios.
• Report on active initiatives, tracking milestones, schedules and costs.
• Monitor implementation and conduct post‑implementation reviews.
• Develop and maintain Value Driver Trees for the processing value chain and its interfaces.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis to identify critical input drivers and quantify pools of value.

Required profile

• Technical background in metallurgy or ore processing.
• Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies in a mining or processing environment.
