About the role
Rocket Lab is seeking a Composite Technician to support the development of Neutron, its upcoming medium‑lift, reusable launch vehicle. You will work on the pressurised tanks, unpressurised sections and fairings of the S1 and S2 structures, applying advanced composite manufacturing techniques.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble pressurised tanks, unpressurised sections and fairings for the Neutron launch vehicle.
- Apply and trial a variety of composite manufacturing processes, including new exploratory methods.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to deliver test‑campaign components at multiple scales.
- Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and support lean‑production goals.
- Estimate delivery timelines, manage logistics, and mitigate handling issues.
Required profile
- Broad knowledge of composite manufacturing techniques and product specifications.
- Experience in research and development environments and test‑campaign execution.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and a mindset focused on cost efficiency.
- Ability to balance rapid development needs with strict product specifications.
