About the role

Join Toyota Automated Logistics in Auckland as a Mechanical Service Technician supporting a highly automated meat processing and distribution facility. You will work in a shift‑based, temperature‑controlled (0°C) environment, ensuring safe and reliable operations of advanced equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and automated systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults to minimise downtime.
• Use data analytics to identify improvements and enhance system performance.
• Provide technical support while adhering to strict food‑safety and sterile standards.
• Collaborate with global teams in a 24/7, shift‑based setting.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in mechanical/industrial maintenance with a relevant trade qualification.
• Strong fault‑finding skills across mechanical, electrical and PLC‑controlled systems.
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance in regulated or food‑grade environments.
• Effective communicator, reliable, proactive and adaptable.
• Willingness to work shifts in low‑temperature, physically demanding conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights using full fall‑protection equipment.
