Lead Security Consultant

About the role

The Lead Security Consultant is responsible for shaping and maintaining ANZ New Zealand’s cybersecurity posture. Working across the organisation, the role provides strategic oversight of security risks, ensures alignment with risk appetite, and supports compliance with regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clear processes for program engagement with Security Advisors throughout all project stages.
• Continuously refine engagement methods to improve visibility and transparency across programmes.
• Ensure consistent understanding and implementation of security obligations within the ANZ Delivery framework.
• Collaborate with programme teams to design and maintain an efficient Security Assurance work‑plan.
• Facilitate the practical application of ANZ’s security policies, articulate policy departures, and identify security gaps.
• Review and adjust security engagement approaches at each programme stage to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security programme and portfolio management.
• Strong ability to influence and embed security principles in transformation initiatives.
• Excellent collaboration skills with both business and technology stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on delivery capability.
