IT Onsite Support – Desktop/Network & POS (Thames, NZ)

About the role

We are looking for an IT Onsite Support professional to provide desktop, network and point‑of‑sale assistance at our Thames location in New Zealand. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining conference‑room AV equipment and ensuring smooth operation of user devices.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve desktop and network problems for end‑users.
• Set up and maintain audio‑video equipment in conference rooms.
• Install, upgrade and patch operating systems and applications.
• Perform hardware and software break‑fix tasks.
• Configure and maintain Wi‑Fi, LAN, WAN, switches and routers.
• Support point‑of‑sale devices such as hand scanners, printers and screens.
• Administer Microsoft Office suite and ensure user productivity.
• Respond to incidents, restore equipment functionality and document resolutions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with desktop and network support.
• Familiarity with audio‑video conference‑room setups.
• Basic knowledge of Wi‑Fi, LAN, WAN, switch and router configuration.
• Experience supporting POS hardware and software.
• Ability to install and upgrade operating systems and apply patches.
