Interior Designer

About the role

Join an award‑winning New Zealand architecture and design studio as an Interior Designer, contributing to civic, commercial, education and residential projects. You will help shape thoughtful, design‑led environments that respond to place, culture and people.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual ideas, materiality and translate them into presentations and design solutions.
• Lead teams and collaborate across all project phases from briefing and space planning to documentation and delivery.
• Plan and prepare developed design documentation, explore design options and detail Revit drawings and schedules.
• Lead client relationships and liaise with contractors to ensure designs are realised on site.
• Coordinate with sub‑consultants and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design or recognised equivalent tertiary qualification within New Zealand.
• 1–4 years post‑graduate experience working in interior architecture.
• Flexibility to work across scale, sector and discipline.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to multi‑task with a proactive, self‑motivated approach.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients, teams and stakeholders.
