Integrated Paramedic or Pharmacist – CPCT Team

About the role

Join ProCare’s Comprehensive Primary and Community Care Teams (CPCT) as an Integrated Health Practitioner. You will work within an interdisciplinary team delivering culturally responsive care to individuals and whānau with complex health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct front‑line assessments via telehealth and in‑person consultations.
• Perform telephone triage, wound care, suturing and dispense medications under standing orders.
• Order laboratory tests and imaging under GP supervision, prioritising hospital avoidance and early discharge.
• Provide medicines information, pharmacotherapy advice and lead pain‑management education sessions.
• Promote safe medicine use and raise awareness of medicine‑related harms.

Required profile

• Valid APC registration.
• Paramedic: enrolment in an Extended Care Paramedic qualification.
• Pharmacist: enrolment in a Post‑Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or higher.
• Proven experience in primary care or community health settings.
• Strong communication, coordination skills and commitment to equity, cultural safety and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
