In-house Café Manager

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic In‑house Café Manager to lead the café at Jasmax’s Auckland studio. The role combines barista duties with hospitality coordination, creating a warm, welcoming environment for staff and visitors in a creative, design‑driven workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages as the primary barista.
• Maintain café and kitchen inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
• Design and host regular staff social events, including food and drink preparation.
• Foster a lively, inclusive café atmosphere that reflects the studio’s culture.
• Provide occasional reception support to enhance the overall studio experience.

Required profile

• Positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude with strong initiative.
• Passion for customer service and creating welcoming spaces.
• Interest in food presentation, such as curated charcuterie boards.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, full‑time, with no late nights or weekend shifts.

Required skills

• Barista experience or ability to operate coffee equipment.
• Basic food preparation and presentation skills.
• Organisational skills for event planning and stock management.
