Department Supervisor – Retail (Sylvia Park)

About the role

JD Sports is looking for an energetic Department Supervisor to lead a team at its Sylvia Park store in New Zealand. You will work a rostered schedule from Tuesday to Thursday, ensuring the department delivers exceptional customer service and meets visual and sales standards.

Key responsibilities

• Model and enforce outstanding customer service for every guest.
• Coach and develop team members to create a ‘service over task’ culture.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product and brand knowledge within the department.
• Support the management team in driving financial performance and meeting sales targets.
• Collaborate with back‑of‑house staff to guarantee product availability.
• Uphold JD Sports visual standards and store merchandising excellence.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in retail or a similar customer‑facing industry.
• Passion for delivering an amazing service experience.
• Positive attitude with the ability to motivate a team.
• Strong time‑management skills to prioritize daily tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
