Claims Assistant

About the role

Petcover New Zealand is looking for a friendly and detail‑oriented Claims Assistant to join its Auckland team. You will be the first point of contact for pet owners filing claims, helping them navigate the process and ensuring a smooth, compassionate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through the claims process and answer policy‑related enquiries.
• Lodge and process claims accurately in the claims system.
• Provide timely updates on claim progress and outcomes.
• Maintain precise records and documentation.
• Liaise with veterinary clinics and other stakeholders to facilitate claim handling.
• Prepare quotes for new business where required.

Required profile

• Animal health qualification.
• Passion for animals and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the insurance industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent phone manner and written English.
• Good time‑management and empathetic approach.
