Chief Executive Officer – Commercial Leader for Electric Motorcycle Startup

About the role

FTN builds premium electric motorcycles in New Zealand and is seeking a hands‑on commercial leader to drive the next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the co‑founders, you will own the commercial engine, expand into new markets and shape the company’s culture as it scales globally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead revenue generation across New Zealand, Australia and upcoming international markets.
• Develop and execute a market‑entry plan for the third target region, with clear milestones and operating budgets.
• Define brand strategy, own the sales pipeline and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Set cultural standards, manage day‑to‑day operations and keep a small, high‑performing team focused.
• Direct capital‑raising activities, maintain financial discipline and nurture investor relationships.

Required profile

• Full‑time commitment based in Hamilton.
• Proven commercial or marketing leadership in design‑led consumer products, lifestyle or premium hardware.
• Startup or scale‑up experience in fast‑moving, lean environments.
• Demonstrated success entering international markets.
• Passion for the mission and willingness to make a long‑term impact.
