About the role
The Helier by Oceania is seeking a Care Associate to join its world‑class, luxury retirement living community in St Heliers. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will help deliver high‑quality, resident‑focused care in a private aged‑care setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of a Primary Nursing Care Model that is resident‑focused.
- Develop and maintain holistic therapeutic relationships with residents, providing safe and excellent care.
- Contribute to residents' needs assessments, follow care plans, and support the evaluation process.
- Partner with residents, their families/whānau, and the wider community.
- Anticipate resident needs, understand preferences, and communicate respectfully.
- Provide safety leadership for procedures and activities.
- Maintain a culture of excellence and support ongoing professional development.
- Assist Nurse Practitioners as requested.
Required profile
- NZQA Level 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Experience as a Healthcare Assistant or relevant role.
- Experience in private nursing or private‑hospital level service.
- Sound knowledge of the ageing process and complex needs.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Compassionate, empathetic, self‑motivated with high professional integrity.
